As more and more drivers head toward rugged
terrain instead of the smooth track, the need for specialized
crawler equipment has increased. With this in mind, Novak has three
distinct Crawler motors available: the Crawler
13.5T Brushless Motor (#3414), Crawler
18.5T Brushless Motor (#3419) and
the Crawler 21.5T
Brushless Motor (#3420).
Novak is pleased to be one of the few R/C
manufactures that offer electronic products specifically designed
for crawlers. Brushless technology is an ideal fit for crawling
applications due to the instant throttle response, super low-speed
drivability and explosive torque brushless products provide. The
sensor-based Crawler Brushless Motors enable crawlers to climb over,
maneuver through and conquer the most challenging terrain.
CRAWLER 13.5T SINTERED
BRUSHLESS MOTOR
Novak's quick 13.5-turn crawler motor has many advantages.
Firstly, the faster speed is ideal for rock racing, where not only
agility but speed plays a large part in these events. The Crawler
13.5 motor is also a perfect complement to Losi'sR 1/10-Scale Comp
Crawler Race Roller™, and it's ideally compatible with Novak's Goat
3S Crawler Brushless/Brush ESC (#3214) when
using a 2S Li-Po pack and Novak's original 2S Li-Po Goat
Crawler ESC (#3219).*
CRAWLER 18.5T BRUSHLESS
MOTOR
The #3419 Sintered Crawler is the
same motor included in Novak's #3019 Goat Crawler Brushless System.
It is ideal for crawling applications as well as drivers looking for
slower speeds and longer run times.
CRAWLER 21.5T BRUSHLESS
MOTOR
Though Novak's 21.5-turn Brushless
Crawler has many of the same great features as Novak's other crawler
motors, it has one key difference: It is even slower. With its
lower-speed driveability and torque, the Crawler 21.5 Brushless
Motor is equipped to tackle the harshest environments.

Brushless/Brush Speed Controls: the Goat 3S ESC (#3214)
and the Goat 2S ESC (#3219).

NOVAK CRAWLER FEATURES
Novak's Crawler Brushless Motors are
specially equipped to tackle the harshest terrains because of their
low-speed drivability and explosive torque. Additionally, these
powerful, sensor-based motors can outclass the competition on 2-cell
Li-Po packs, but - if your crawler rig can handle it - they also
excel on 3-cell Li-Po.
Novak's Crawler motors include the samehigh-performance
sintered rotor that
Novak's Velociti and SS Pro series' of motors currently use. The
rotor is ideal for use with any and all applications and provides
the following benefits:
- Significantly increased
magnetic strength for improved throttle feel
- Improved, stronger
motor braking power
- Improved performance in
higher temperature conditions
- Improved motor
acceleration and power
- Higher efficiency
- Lower current draw
- Nickel-plated for a
long lasting, smooth, clean finish
Additional features of Novak's Crawler Motors
include sensor-based
commutation for
precise rotor position control; a high-performance
sintered rotor for
stronger motor braking power and improved performance in higher
temperature conditions; an oversized
front bearing for
extra durability and extended life; ribbed
aluminum end bells to
reduce weight; and a solder
tab system for
flexible soldering options.
